From "Thunderbolt"

In these two brief scenes from the 1929 talkie "Thunderbolt" staring George Bancroft and Fay Wray, "Curtis Mosby and His Blue Blowers" are featured with James Porter on trumpet, and Theresa Harris vocals, for a performance of "Daddy Won't You Please Come Home".

After settling in the Los Angles area during the early 1920's Curtis Mosby opened his own night club "The Apex" in 1928 and appeared in Josef Von Sternberg's film "Thunderbolt" the following year. Later in 1929 the club was shut down in police raid, but was soon reopened after Mosby's acquittal re-named "Club Alabam".
