Recorded in New York City on December 3rd 1929 including Eva Taylor vocals, King Oliver cornet, Ed Cuffee trombone, Buster Bailey clarinet & soprano sax, and Clarence Williams piano & director.

*"You've Got To Be Modernistic" was written by James P. Johnson.

Clarence Williams generally used his "Jazz Kings" for his hot orchestra recordings and his "Washboard Five" for his skiffle sides. He also produced and even participated in early recordings featuring Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, Bessie Smith and others. King Oliver played cornet on many of Williams' sessions of the late 1920's, further enhancing a string of already solid hot recordings.
