This side was produced in New York City on January 7th 1925 with members including Eva Taylor vocals, Louis Armstrong cornet, Sidney Bechet clarinet & soprano sax, and Clarence Williams piano & leader.

*"Cake Walking Babies From Home" was composed by Chris Smith, Clarence Williams, and Henry Troy.

After touring the world with the "Josephine Gassman & Her Pickaninnies" vaudeville show since her per-teens Eva Taylor settled in New York around 1920. There she established herself as a performer in Harlem nightspots and in 1922 made her first record for the African-American owned Black Swan Records, who billed her as "The Dixie Nightingale." She wed pianist Clarence Williams who was at the time a producer for Okeh Records. The newlyweds worked together on radio and continues to record together through the 1930's. Their legacy includes numbers made as the Clarence Williams' "Blue Five" in the mid-1920's that featured both Sidney Bechet and Louis Armstrong.
