Recorded in New York City during August of 1922 featuring personnel including Billy Jones vocals, Bennie Krueger clarinet, alto, & tenor sax, Phil Ohman and Victor Arden piano, and Harry Reser banjo.

*"Charley, My Boy" was composed by Gus Kahn and Ted Fiorito.

The most popular rendition of "Charley, My Boy" was recorded for Columbia Records by, singing comedian, Eddie Cantor on July 18th 1923. This recording was released as a single on the label in 1924. The "Russo-Fiorito Oriole Orchestra", led by pianist Ted Fiorito, would also introduce the song on record in 1924.

In 1920, at the insistence of Victor Records, Bennie Krueger appeared with the "Original Dixieland Jazz Band" becoming one of the first saxophonists to perform with a jazz band on record. This event would launch hm into super-stardom promoting his own successful career as both sideman and bandleader.
