This recording was produced in Chicago on February 22nd 1929 featuring Shirley Clay and George Mitchell trumpets, William Franklin trombone, Toby Turner clarinet & alto sax, Cecil Irwin clarinet & tenor sax, Lester Boone clarinet, alto, & baritone sax, Earl Hines piano, Claude Roberts banjo, Hayes Alvis tuba, and Benny Washington drums.

*"Chicago Rhythm" was composed by Ben Kanter and Bernie Grossman.

Although refreshingly different from "Jimmie Noone's Apex Club Orchestra's" version recorded
in Chicago just four days later this rendition was also arranged by Alex Hill.
