Filmed by George A. Borgman in Framingham, Massachusetts on July 4th 1989 at the home of Dave and Joan Murphy during their annual holiday party featuring Walter Miller trumpet, John Kafalas trombone & double-bell euphonium, Stan McDonald clarinet, soprano sax, & leader, Phil Hower piano, John Rayworth banjo, Hans Brack string bass, and Stu Grover drums.

Stan McDonald fondly recalls this as a productive period in his career. He describes the line-up as being the product of transition for the "Blue Horizon" band and goes on to say:

"We started that annual 4th of July event back about 1984. The band was very busy at all kinds of clubs and festivals around that time, having started what became our nineteen year regular gig at the Sherborn Inn, in 1989". George Borgman's "Mississippi Rag" article explains."

"The only remaining current member of the 1989 "Blue Horizon Jazz Band" is John Kafalas, on trombone, who is our regular sub for Gerry Gagnon. Over the years, the rest have either passed, retired, or moved away; Hans Brack (bass) to Switzerland, though he has recently visited a nephew in Holliston, Mass."
