Recorded in New York City on March 27th 1931 featuring Blanche Calloway vocals & leader.

*"I'm Gettin' Myself Ready For You" was written by Cole Porter.

Blanche Calloway the older and lesser known sister of Cab Calloway appears on this side as the powerful singer and dominating leader of her "Joy Boys" band. Born in Rochester, New York on February 9th 1902 she boasted a singing career which spanned over fifty years with a flamboyant style that had an obvious influence on her kid brother Cab. In her heyday Blanche performed along side such prominent musical figures as Cozy Cole, Chick Webb, and of course Cab Calloway and made history as the first woman to direct an all male orchestra.
