"World's Funniest Man"
Famous black vaudeville performer Bert Williams made this recording of one of his comedy routines in 1913.
Bert spins a true to life observational comedy yarn about the eavesdropping actions of his landlady which are further heightened when rent is past due. Going out of his way to avoid confronting her without the money he confides his sheer hatred for the woman to the listening audience.
