Recorded in New York City on January 21st 1928 by the "Paul Whiteman Orchestra" featuring Paul Whiteman director, Jack Fulton trombone & vocals, Charles Margulis and Henry Busse trumpet, Bix Beiderbecke & Bob Mayhew cornet, Bill Rank, Boyce Cullen, and Wilbur Hall trombone, Jimmy Dorsey, Jack Mayhew, and Hal McLean clarinet & alto sax, Chester Hazlett alto sax, Frank Trumbauer c-melody sax, Rupert ("Rube") Crozier alto sax & bassoon, Charles Strickfaden clarinet & baritone sax, Nye Mayhew alto & baritone sax, Tom Satterfield and Harry Perrella piano, Mischa Russell, Mario Perry, Matty Malneck, Kurt Dieterle, and Charles Gaylord violins, Mike Pingitore banjo, Steve Brown string bass, Mike Trafficante tuba, and Harold McDonald drums.

*"Together" was composed by Ray Henderson, with lyrics by Buddy DeSylva and Lew Brown.

Although it was recorded by a number of other Orchestras the most popular version of the song was this on from Paul Whiteman featuring his "golden boy" Bix Beiderbecke on cornet.

It would remain at the #1 spot on the National charts for two entire weeks.
